Use of precious wood

Below you can find the specifications of the different types of wood that our company uses for the construction of naval furnishings:
  • IROKO: a teak alternative, coming from Equatorial Africa and has a colour that shades from yellow to brown with dark streaks; It is less costly than teak and is used for buckets in wells and garage louvres, its main features being hardness and durability.
  • OAK: it is located in the area that extends from Central Europe to the North East. In Italy it is present in the Alpine and Apennine valleys and is part of the quercus family. It is characterized by the yellowish colour that tends to brown, but with time it lightens; it is used for making various wood furniture, including chairs, according to a customer's requirements.
  • MAHOGANY: a tropical tree from Central America whose peculiar characteristic is hardness. It is a compact, heavy wood and resistant to parasites, with a shade that tends from yellow to red and finally to dark brown. It is used to make handrails and furniture of various kinds.
  • CHERRY: a homogeneous wood that changes from brown to gold and finally to red. Of great value, most used cherry is of European origin and is used for the production of various furniture.
